Executive Leaves Ubisoft Amid Misconduct Allegations
Ubisoft has recently announced that the company’s chief creative officer, Serge Hascoët, is resigning from his position and exiting the company. The sudden resignation comes after allegations, accusing Hascoët of misconduct and abusive behavior. Two other high-ranking executives, Yannis Mallat and Cecile Cornet, have also left Ubisoft due to similar accusations.
After the announcement, the company announced that they would be making changes to the workplace with CEO Yves Guillemot saying that he will “personally oversee a complete overhaul” of the creative team.
Bloomberg News video game reporter Jason Schreier described the events at Ubisoft in a Twitter thread.
